Meghan Harriman, Assistant Teacher

Meghan holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Springfield College (2007) and a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Severe Special Needs from Simmons College (2011). She is licensed to teach Special Education for grades K–12 in Connecticut.
She has 17 years of experience working in educational settings, including public, private, and residential schools. Roles have included Teacher’s Assistant, Behavioral Therapist, and Lead Special Education Teacher. Her background is in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with extensive experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans for students ages 3–18. Since 2018, Meghan has worked in early childhood education, initially with an in-home preschool while raising her young children. For the past two years, she has worked in preschool classrooms, focusing on early learning and behavioral development. Meghan has 5 sons that are 9, 8, 7, 5 and 4 years old. Outside of work, she is actively involved in her children’s extracurricular activities and enjoys annual family vacations to Fire Island. |
